Our Story
Scottsdale United Methodist Church has a rich history dating back to 1928 when Scottsdale was little more than a crossroads. Today, it’s a hub of community activity with an award winning Daycare. We’re excited to share that this campus will be a home to a new “test” church. Currently we’re in an exploration phase, connecting and listening to the young families and college-aged people that are a part of this neighborhood. Our goal is to identify what God is calling this church to be so that the community thrives with the strong presence of Christ. Since 1928 Scottsdale UMC has kept these core values in it’s sight.
Core Values
- Nurture: Spiritual growth through scripture, tradition, experience, and reason. Connect children and youth to the church culture which offers love, hope, and mentoring in a safe environment. Seek health and healing in the faith community which is centered in mind, body, and spiritual wholeness.
- Mission: Hope to the hopeless and improving global health through community, national, and global mission.
- Witness: Celebrate and invite diversity in the community. Foster a culture of vocational calling.
